You will need

  • GreenRide degreaser

  • GreenRide lubricant

  • Cleaning brushes

  • Microfibre cloth

  • Sponge

Cleaning your bike with GreenRide

Turn your GreenRide degreaser trigger to spray position.

Shake container vigorously and apply liberally to chain and transmission.

Turn the pedals backwards, run the pointy end of your GreenRide brush between the cogs on your cassette, to loosen any excess dirt.

Run the chain against the tough bristles on the other end of the brush. Add more degreaser if required.

Wash off GreenRide degreaser with water and allow to dry.

The first time you use GreenRide lubricant, you will need to make a small hole in the nozzle.

GreenRide lubricant has a low viscosity, so a very small hole will provide a good flow of lubricant.

To make the hole as small as possible, cut off the top of the nozzle as close to the tip as you are able to.

Apply GreenRide Lubricant to chain and transmission.

Drip onto the cleaned chain and backpedal the chain as you apply it.

Hold the bottle of lubricant so the nozzle is resting on the inside of the chain. Use your free hand to crank the pedals backward so the chain moves around the chainrings on the bike. Run the chain around the chainrings several times, continuing to drip the lube onto each part of the chain as it passes by.

Set aside the lubricant and continue to backpedal the chain. This will help work the lubricant into the chain. Run the chain around the chainrings several more times.

Slowly shift through the gears to distribute the lubricant to the cassette gears and chainrings.

Wait a few minutes for the lubricant to penetrate, and then wipe off excess lubricant.
